Announcement: Operations at Kauniala Hospital are ending

The operations at Kauniala Hospital’s facility will cease at the end of 2024, and all functions within the premises will be discontinued.

Due to the building’s aging structure, it is not feasible to continue using the pool area independently. This development came as a complete surprise to us. FitPit Oy has actively sought a solution to maintain pool usage, but unfortunately, this was not technically possible.

We are currently searching for new pool facilities in the Espoo and Kauniainen areas. Updates will be provided to swimmers as soon as alternative facilities are secured.

To address the situation, we have added more swimming slots at the Kilo and Valkea Talo pools, ensuring that all swimmers will have access to pools starting January 2025. Everyone enrolled in Kauniainen’s swimming courses has been contacted personally, and alternative courses at other facilities have been proposed to all affected swimmers.
